The Metropolitan Police Department began uploading the footage to its YouTube page on Wednesday, with plans to release more as the investigation progresses.

The incident unfolded on the morning of December 6 when Anthony Polito, 67, arrived at UNLV’s Beam Hall and unleashed a barrage of 9mm rounds using a Taurus handgun.

The Clark County coroner’s office has identified the deceased as Patricia Navarro Velez, 39; Cha Jan “Jerry” Chang, 64; and Naoko Takemaru, 69. Another faculty member remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, although no updates on their condition have been provided.

Authorities revealed that Polito had been rejected for a job by Nevada higher education institutions, including UNLV. He was armed with approximately 150 bullets and had 11 gun magazines when he was confronted by two UNLV police officers, who fatally injured him, bringing the shooting to an end.

During the investigation, the police discovered a “target list” at Polito’s apartment in Henderson, and it was revealed that he had sent 22 letters to faculty members at UNLV and East Carolina University, where he had previously taught. One of the intercepted letters contained an unknown white powder substance, later determined to be harmless.

It is important to note that none of the shooting victims were listed on the “target list” compiled by Polito, according to the police.
