During the traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver possessed a vial with traces of white powder, suspected to be methamphetamine. Karr, serving as the passenger, became embroiled in an argument with Deputy Zanini, leading to him fleeing the scene before being tackled to the ground.

According to Deputy Zanini’s report, amidst the struggle, he noticed Karr wielding a firearm. It was in this moment that two gunshots resonated in the air. Law enforcement officials subsequently recovered two loaded firearms: one on the ground within Karr’s proximity and another found in his left pocket. The body-camera footage verifies the account given by Deputy Zanini and provides crucial evidence for the investigation.
