To ensure public safety, temporary measures were put in place, resulting in the closure of both directions of the West End Bridge. Rail traffic on the Brunot Island bridge was also halted. In an abundance of caution, the McKees Rocks Bridge was closed as well, as announced by the McKees Rocks Police Department on social media.
