Following surgery, Lynch was released from the hospital and aspires to return to work soon, according to her GoFundMe page. However, the focus has turned to the attacker’s disturbing criminal record. Ricks has a history dating back to 2016, including charges of theft, fraud, excessive speeding, disorderly conduct, and even littering. He was previously arrested for aggravated assault in April 2023.

Ricks is currently detained at the St. Louis County Justice Center, facing charges of felony assault and property damage in the second degree.
