Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) has put on her tinfoil hat and expressed concern about the possibility of violence and civil unrest if former President Donald Trump loses the upcoming presidential election. During an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show,” Waters called on the Department of Justice to investigate “right-wing organizations” that she claims are “training up in the hills somewhere and targeting, you know, what communities they are going to attack.”

Waters accused Trump of inciting his supporters to violence and not accepting the outcome of the presidential election, stating: “You cannot trust anything that Donald Trump has to say no matter if he loses he is going to say it was fraud. He still has not accepted what happened in the last presidential election. We have to be very concerned about a former president of the United States talking about attacking his own country, talking about perhaps a bloodbath, talking about perhaps there is going to be trouble.”

She went on to say, “This man does not believe in the Constitution. He wants to be a dictator. This is a dangerous human being. We have to know what our country is going to do to protect us from him.”

Waters said she plans to ask the Justice Department and the president what they plan to do to protect the country against violence if Trump loses the election. She also expressed concerns that Trump supporters are “already practicing what their government is going to be under Trump” and that they are planning for a civil war.

“When he talks about race, we know, and I’m going to tell you again today, Donald Trump is a pure racist,” Waters added. “I am worried that the attack is going to be on people of color.”

Waters’ remarks have sparked debate on both sides of the political aisle, with some accusing her of fear-mongering while others argue that there is a legitimate threat of violence from right-wing groups.
