In a recent statement, GW University President Ellen Granberg has called for the assistance of the Washington Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to address an illegal anti-Israel encampment conducting activities on the university’s campus. President Granberg expressed her concern and the need for law and order to be restored as the encampment activities continue to escalate.
President Granberg emphasized the unlawful nature of the encampment’s activities, stating that they pose a potential danger and must be classified as illegal occupation of GW property. She highlighted that the university alone lacks the necessary resources to manage this unprecedented situation effectively.

The request for law enforcement assistance from the MPD marks the first time that GW has publicly sought such intervention to address the encampment. Despite MPD’s increased security presence in and around the occupied portions of the encampment, President Granberg stressed that the university cannot regain control of the campus on its own.
The situation was further exacerbated by the emergence of a video on social media documenting an encampment activity called “People’s Tribunal,” where GW protesters simulated the sentencing of senior university officials to death. Such alarming incidents have raised concerns about the growing influence of external groups and individuals, as evidenced by the presence of revolutionary propaganda from the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) at the encampment.
At the George Washington University Gaza Solidarity Encampment today, the protesters held a "People's Tribunal" where they put President Ellen Granberg, Provost Christopher Bracey, the Board of Trustees, @GWPolice, and many others on trial.

6 Must Know Tips About The Aftermath of Self Defense
“Is it normal for students to want to hang their provost and chop the heads off of the Board of Trustees? “Guillotine, Guillotine, Guillotine, Guillotine” “Bracey, Bracey, we see you. You assault students too. Off to the motherfucking gallows with you.” “As you already know where I am sending her [to the guillotine], her and her fuckass bob.”” – TheStuStuStudio

The effects of these activities go beyond the boundaries of a peaceful demonstration and have prompted President Granberg to point out the infiltration of the GW community by individuals who are not students and do not have the best interests of the community in mind. She highlighted that the encampment has been co-opted by unaffiliated individuals who have transformed it into an illegal occupation fueled by external influences.
The presence of PSL’s revolutionary propaganda and the group’s beliefs in the overthrow of the U.S. government have raised concerns about the encampment’s departure from its initial purpose of peaceful #FreePalestine demonstration. President Granberg’s concerns have, however, been met with silence from Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser and the MPD.
While the university continues to seek assistance in restoring law and order, Mayor Bowser’s office has expressed its commitment to monitoring and ensuring access to safe and sanitary conditions for all. The Mayor’s office also highlighted its support for universities and private entities in need of help, indicating that resources will be deployed to maintain public safety. Chief Pamela Smith and the MPD are expected to testify about the encampment response before the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, shedding light on the ongoing issue and the possible actions to address it.
In light of these developments, the GW community and stakeholders await further responses from the local authorities and law enforcement agencies to address the unlawful encampment activities on the university campus. President Granberg’s appeal for intervention underscores the urgency of restoring law and order to maintain a safe and conducive learning environment for all members of the GW community.

The rabble of unlawful tresspassers on and around many university campus’s cannot be described in any way as law-abiding protest – the obligation of government and “Police” is therefor quite clear. Law & Order MUST be regained using by whatever force is necessary – but NOT in a months’ time or some other arbitrary time frame in the future. The problem and lawlessness is now, therefor to remain lawful the reactions of “authority” Must be NOW !
Cowardice amongst the police is not usually at ground level, but as in government nationwide it starts at the top.
Get a Grip !!
